SET UP INSTRUCTIONS

1

Touch the work piece and set zero.

2

Now feed down to approximately .250 +/-.06.

3

When setting the rapid down, you should rapid to .05 above the workpiece, then feed down to depth, this should give sufficient pressure for any engraving.

4

Set up to start running at 20 inches per minute.  You can adjust speed based on your results. All materials can be different.

5

Do not run the spindle.  It should be off, or you risk damaging the tip.

6

It is very important, NEVER run off of the work piece.  Always start on the piece and come down to depth otherwise you risk damaging the tool and possibly ruin your work.

7

Remember these tools are tough yet they can chip if they get hit.  However, If something does happen don’t worry, you can just purchase the replacement tips which are approximately 1/2 the cost of a new tool and will return it to brand new condition.
